Do I need to send a lunch?

Yes. All food should be as ready to eat as possible. Example:  fruit peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces.


Will my child nap?

Our regular day ends at 1:00 p.m. and there is no nap. Yes, your child will nap only if he/she is registered for Extended Care. Children registered for Extended Care will need a nap mat and may bring a blanket or soft toy to have with them at rest time. 


When will my child be eligible to enroll in the toddler class?

Children enrolled in the Toddler Class must be at least 18 months of age, walking, able to self-feed, and able to sit at a table for meal time.


Is the registration fee or tuition refundable?

The registration fee is not refundable unless we are unable to place your child in a class. If you must withdraw your child, we require 30 days written notice. Otherwise, the current month's tuition will be forfeited. There is no refund for days missed due to illness, vacation, or for school closures resulting from a natural or manmade disaster, inclement weather, and/or emergency-related closings such as caused by a pandemic.


Why does the tuition cost the same for short months like December and May?

Although the number of school days vary per month, we take the annual tuition and divide it into 9 equal payments for your convenience.


What are the Day School hours of operation?

Day School hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  School is dismissed at noon once per month for a teachers' meeting. 


Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Westbury Methodist Day School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Federal E.I.N. # 741386593. Please specify "Day School"  if you want your donation to specifically support the Day School and Parent's Day Out programs.
